To be recognised as an official guild in The Fractured Realms, there is an application process that must be completed and the guild must be approved by the Mod/Admin team as well as the faction leader of the faction that the guild will be based in. If the process is not completed or the application is denied, then the proposed guild may be a free-standing player-made group.

Guilds are officially recognised on sim and are integrated into major sim, faction, and inter-faction storylines, receiving assignments and roles that align with their nature and expertise, such as a healer's guild actively organising a response to a disaster or an adventurer's guild asked to spearhead the hunt of a monster plaguing the Isle. This involvement enriches the sim's storylines.

While individual players and non-guild groups are always welcome to participate in any storyline, guilds are specifically designed and supported to serve as key palyers in the sim's story.

Guilds:

  • Officially recognised by the sim, playing roles in storylines and receiving direct support from staff including a dedicated guild hall.

  • There are a limited number of official guild spaces. Each faction has two (2) guild spaces available.

  • These groups are lead by the creator of the guild or a guild leader appointed by the faction lead in the event that the guild's creator steps down or leaves the sim. Should no one wish to take the position, then the guild is subject to being disbanded.

  • Located in and aligned with a faction, though membership must be open to all players, regardless of faction or affiliation.

Player-Made Groups:

  • Can be made by anyone.

  • Must follow all sim rules and abide by lore.

  • Unaffiliated with any faction or guild. They are fully dependent on the players within the group and are not regulated or overseen by staff, relying on player initiative without official oversight or recognition.

  • These groups offer a sandbox for creative player-driven activities.

  • Not officially recognised by the sim.

Guidelines for Guild Creation:

  • Guilds must align with the overarching theme of The Fractured Realm. They must fit in with sim lore.

  • Membership within guilds must not be restricted based on race, species, or gender.

  • Membership must be open to players from all factions.

  • Individuals aspiring to become Guild Leaders must demonstrate consistent activity on sim (8h/week) for at least one month.

  • Guild Leaders are required to maintain a positive standing with the sim and may not have any behavioural strikes or warnings within one month prior to the application submission date.

  • A guild must consist of at least four (4) unique players, including the leader. Characters controlled by the same player (alternate characters) do not count towards this total.

Application Process:

  • To start a guild, complete the application form. Application forms are available on the website.

  • You must submit an Out of Character (OOC) application as well as an In Character (IC) petition to the faction lead in the city/kingdom where your guild will be based. If the guild is approved OOCly, the process will need to be RPed out ICly.

Considerations and Decisions:

  • Guilds that do not adhere to the thematic and organizational standards of the sim and faction will be rejected.

  • The decision to approve a guild lies entirely with the modmin team as well as the faction lead of the city the guild is based in. Their decision is final.
